South Africa records 7 733 new COVID-19 cases, 370 deaths

The National Institute for Communicable Diseases (NICD) says South Africa recorded 7 733 new COVID-19 cases in the last 24 hours., bringing to 2 391 223 the total number of confirmed cases in the country.

A further 370 COVID-19 related deaths were also confirmed in the latest report with a total of 70 388 fatalities since the start of the pandemic.

Gauteng and Western Cape account for 30% and 20% of the cases respectively.
