After a poor performance at the Wanderers in the first T20, South Africa bounced back on Sunday to beat the Australians at St Georges Park to level the series, and will be looking for another good performance from the team on Wednesday.

South Africa and Australia will meet at Newlands Cricket Ground on Wednesday in a series-deciding T20 international.

After a poor performance at the Wanderers in the first T20, South Africa bounced back on Sunday to beat the Australians at St Georges Park to level the series, and will be looking for another good performance from the team on Wednesday.

Proteas Assistant coach Enoch Nkwe says that after the Johannesburg game, the team had to reflect hard on their performance. Audio:

Nkwe says the 12-run win on Sunday was a massive confidence boost for the entire team ahead of Wednesday’s game. Audio:

That win came down a large part to the death bowling of Kagiso Rabada, Lungi Ngidi and Anrich Nortje, and Nkwe says Bowling coach Charl Langeveldt has worked hard with the bowling unit.

Nkwe has a long history of working with Rabada and he says the South African paceman is working hard to get to his best. Audio:

The injured Temba Bavuma will face a late fitness test before Wednesday’s game, and Nkwe says while they have missed him, it has allowed others an opportunity, but he hopes that he will be fit again soon. – Report by Rob Delport
