Song battle an indication of what’s happening in discussions: Analyst

Political Analyst Susan Booysen says the clash between supporters of ANC President Jacob Zuma and Deputy President Kgalema at the party’s national policy conference in Midrand today, support reports suggesting that there are similar altercations behind closed door discussions. The standoff ensued just after Motlanthe left the venue’s business centre where businesses had put on an exhibition for ANC delegates. Zuma’s supporters were singing songs that showed support for the President and his pursuit for a second term in office, much to the despair of Motlanthe supporters.
