Charles Maja, who played the role of Big Boy Mabitsela on Skeem Saam, will be laid to rest on Saturday. The funeral service will take place at his home at Ga-Maja outside Lebowakgomo in Limpopo.

He also acted as Bra Tick on Thobela FM’s soapie Mahlakung. The radio station’s head of drama, Makwela Lekalakala says Maja will be remembered for the many roles he played.
“Charles Maja acted in many of our dramas, the last one being Mahlakung. We have been paying tribute to him in our various programmes since we learned about his passing. Thobela FM managers have also visited the family to convey words of condolences. In addition, staff members have made some contributions to the family,” says Lekalakala.
