A memorial service for the late Free State Stars midfielder Sinethemba Jantjie will be held at Bethlehem in the Free State on Thursday.
He was killed in a car crash on Monday morning in Bethlehem.
The 30-year-old joined Stars from Mbombela United in June 2016.
Jantjie is the second Stars player to die in a car crash in four years.
Kimberley-born striker Richard Henyekane was also killed in a crash in April 2015.
Although Jantjie had signed a pre-contract with Bidvest Wits, the news of his untimely passing is devastating to Stars who are battling hard to escape the dreaded Absa Premiership relegation axe.
