KwaZulu-Natal Premier Sihle Zikalala will deliver his State of the Province Address (SOPA) in Pietermaritzburg on Thursday.

Zikalala is set to outline provincial government’s plan to address the challenges facing the province including the scourge of unemployment and crime, including politically related killings.
He is expected to reflect on basic service delivery woes including the ongoing water challenges especially in the province’s remote, rural areas. Over the years there has been an outcry that many rural communities still share river water with livestock.
