On Wednesday the man pleaded not guilty to all 16 charges against him.

The bail application of the 29-year-old business man who is accused of killing Durban North woman- Siam Lee– continues in the Durban Magistrate’s court on Thursday.

On Wednesday the man pleaded not guilty to all 16 charges laid against him.

The accused’s identity is being withheld because he faces a rape charge as well.

Taking the witness stand in his bail hearing on Wednesday, the business man told the Durban Magistrate’s Court that on the 17th of January, two private investigators invaded his home in Kloof and handcuffed him, before assaulting him.

One of the investigators has been identified as Brad Nathanson.

The court heard that Nathanson conducted a search at the suspect’s home without a search warrant in the absence of the police.

The court further heard that Nathanson posted the accused’s identity on Facebook before an identity parade was conducted.

The accused’s legal team told the court that Nathanson’s actions have prejudiced their client.

The court ruled that none of the State’s potential witnesses will be allowed to sit in court if they have not testified yet.

The State is expected to cross-examine the accused on Thursday. The court will then decide whether it will grant or deny the accused bail.
