The Parliamentary Press Gallery Association has released a statement condemning Economic Freedom Fighters deputy president Floyd Shivambu‘s attack on a journalist.
This after video footage emerged showing Shivambu together with an unknown man assaulting a Netwerk 24 reporter, Adrian de Kock.
The association says de Kock has the right to lay criminal charges against the two men.
The association says it will write to National Assembly Speaker Baleka Mbete, the Chairperson of the NCOP, Thandi Modise as well as the EFF leadership to request that Shivambu issue a public apology and that a disciplinary process be instituted against him and the other man.
