The leader of the Nazareth Baptist Church Vela Shembe will be laid to rest on Sunday in uMthwalume, south coast of Durban.
Shembe died at his home last Friday after a short illness.
The High Court in Durban had declared the Inkosi the rightful leader of the Shembe church, but Mduduzi Shembe has appealed the decision.
“We are expecting a total number of 10 000 people who will be attending the funeral . The KwaZulu-Natal premier is our main guest he will be speaking. The proceedings will last around about 6 to 7 in the evening,” says the churches spokesperson Nkululeko Mthethwa.
