The Sharks will be without Springbok prop Tendai Mtawarira for their match against the Jaguares this Saturday, their penultimate pool game of the 2019 Super Rugby season.

The ‘Beast’ is recovering from a knee injury while scrumhalf Cameron Wright also misses out, he will be replaced by youngster, Zee Makhabela in the touring squad.

Forward, Thomas Du Toit believes the Sharks have dealt well with losing players to injury this season and praised the likes of Kerron van Vuuren and Mzamo Mazola for stepping up.

The Jaguares are in red hot form with three consecutive wins under their belt. They are currently top of the South African conference table and a win against the Durban side will guarantee them a spot in the playoffs.

Du Toit expects a hostile reception in Buenos Aires.

Fresh in the memory of the Sharks is the 50 points they conceded against the Jaguares at Kings Park in April.

It was a humbling defeat against a team packed with international players. Du Toit says they will have to be patient on Saturday and offered some philosophical analysis ahead of the encounter. –  Report by Thahir Asmal
