Police are investigating the causes behind a shack fire that claimed four lives in Mamelodi near Pretoria on Friday night.
According to police spokesperson Kay Makhubele the bodies of a 30 year old woman, 35 year old man and two children, aged 7 and 8 were found inside the burnt out shack.
“A shack caught fire; about four family members who were asleep were burnt beyond recognition. So far the cause of fire is unknown at the moment but police are investigating an inquest and also calling for anyone with information to come forward so that they can be able to help us in our investigation,” says Makhubele.
