Motorists travelling in Diepkloof, Soweto, can expect delays this morning as several roads are still blocked off, following a service delivery protest.
Disgruntled residents have been protesting since Monday over the cut of electricity supply to their area.
Johannesburg metro police spokesperson Wayne Minnaar says their officers are on the scene to reroute traffic.
“Traffic flow is still affected by protests along Imming drive along a few intersections in Diepkloof. The protesters have placed rocks and tyres on the road surface. Motorists are advised to use Ben Naude drive as an alternate route. Vehicles can use Chris Hani road and rand show road as alternate routes this morning.”
