Sever thunderstorm warming issued for KwaZulu-Natal

The South African Weather Service has issued a warning of severe thunderstorms in the north western parts of the KwaZulu-Natal on Monday.

Forecaster Stacy Colborne says the heavy downpours will affect areas such as Newcastle, Dundee, Ladysmith, Mooiriver and Underberg.

She says the rest of the province can also expect scattered thundershowers.

“The weather looking for the rest of today is fine conditions this afternoon, but it does cloud up after about 5 o clock. We are expecting isolated scattered showers and thundershowers over the province today. Looking ahead into tomorrow you can expect scattered showers and thundershowers mostly over Southern and Western KZN. We are expecting served thunderstorms to occur over the north western parts of the province”
