Seven people have been killed in two separate road crashes in Mpumalanga on Saturday night.

Four people were killed when a vehicle overturned on the R540 road between Belfast and Dullstroom. The victims include two men and two women.

They were all declared dead on the scene.

In the other accident, a head-on collision claimed the lives of three people on the R580 road between Secunda and Embalenhle.

The provincial Community Safety, Security and Liaison Department is investigating both crashes.
