Seven people have been killed in a collision between two vehicles on the N1 between Mokopane and Mookgophong in Limpopo.
Transport authorities say the victims died on the scene. Transport Department spokesperson Mike Maringa says one of the drivers lost control and veered into oncoming traffic.
“We can confirm that seven people were killed in a horrific crash involving a VW Kombi and a Hyundai sedan on the N1 south outside Mokopane in Limpopo. It is alleged that one of the drivers lost control and drove straight into oncoming traffic and upon impact, seven people were killed instantly.”
