Seven men arrested on charges of intimidation and extortion are expected to appear in the Cape Town Magistrate’s Court on Monday.
The men are believed to be linked to underworld dealings in the Mother City.
Western Cape police say the suspects are aged between 36 and 44.
They were arrested on Friday following a lengthy investigation.
It is believed that they are involved in nightclub security.
One of them is said to be the brother of an alleged gang boss. Cape Town club wars have allegedly resulted in a few deaths recently amid a struggle for power in the nightclub industry.
