Security in an around the Christian Revival Church (CRC Church) in Pretoria is very tight on Saturday morning.
SAPS explosive Unit and Gauteng Traffic Police have been stationed at all entry points leading into the church.
Thousands of mourners are expected to gather here to pay their final respects to the late Dr Zola Skweyiya.
Top government officials including President Cyril Ramaphosa will attend Skweyiya’s special official funeral.
Skweyiya died at the age of 75 at the Kloof Hospital in Pretoria on Wednesday, April 11.
He became Minister of Public Services and Administration in 1994 under former president Nelson Mandela’s administration.
He then later became Minister of Social Development in 1999.
