Police divers have recovered a second body at Monwabisi Beach near Khayelitsha in Cape Town. This comes after three men drowned during a baptism ceremony that went wrong on Sunday morning.
City of Cape Town law enforcement spokesman Wayne Dyason says one of the bodies is still missing. He says SAPS divers will continue the search for the missing body.
“Two church members who were being baptised got into difficulty in the water and a member of the public went in to rescue them. The member of the public drowned together with the two church members. A second body has now been found,” adds Dyason.
