Search underway for woman missing on Garden Route

NSRI says there remains no sign of the female and all efforts are continuing to find her.

A search is underway for a 21-year-old student from Norway who went missing at the beach at Sedgefield on the Garden Route in the Southern Cape.

The woman was staying at a backpackers when she went out for a walk on the beach Wednesday night with friends.

Her friends contacted police after she failed to return.

NSRI spokesperson, Craig Lambinon says an extensive search by NSRI, police and emergency services continues Wednesday morning.

He says: “There remains no sign of the female and all efforts are continuing to find her.”

They are appealing to anyone with information that might assist in this incident to contact the Sedgefield police station.
