World renowned Eastern Cape artist Maureen Quin spent the last few months completing a life size bust of former President Nelson Mandela. The project was commissioned by Australian University of New South Wales in Sydney and will be unveiled on Mandela Day July 18.

Quin said the statue would be unveiled next to a bronze of Mahatma Gandhi in a square at the university that will be developed into a tribute for icons of the 20th century.
