A group of protesters attempted to disrupt President Cyril Ramaphosa’s address at the Steve Biko Lecture at Unisa in Pretoria.
The demonstrators were wearing black t-shirts and carrying placards with the words “Black Power, Remember Marikana” and “Bloodshed”.

Biko was a Black Consciousness activist who died at the hands of apartheid-era police in September 1977.
The protesters were quickly removed by security guards as the event’s host appealed for the programme to continue.
