The North West Provincial Legislature’s Standing Committee on Public Accounts (Scopa) has cracked down on alleged irregularities and corruption, within the provincial government departments.

The latest at the receiving end of the committee, was the Office of the Premier.

North West Premier, Supra Mahumapelo and his team, was summoned to account to Scope on payment of more than R100 million to an ICT company, NEPO Data Dynamics.

It is alleged to have been contravening the supply chain requirements.

Scopa’s Boitumelo Moiloa says the company has a tendency of inflating prices on goods it supplies.
