A 2.8-million-year-old jawbone fossil with five intact teeth unearthed in an Ethiopian desert has pushed back the known beginnings of humankind by about half a million years.

A NASA astronaut and two Russian cosmonauts landed near Dzezkazgan, Kazakhstan on Thursday.

British soprano singer Sarah Brightman, who is expected to blast off into space on September 1, says she plans to sing from the sky.

A Swiss-built solar plane Solar Impulse 2, the first solar-powered plane to attempt to fly around the world, successfully landed in India’s western Ahmedabad city late on Tuesday night.
