The Proteas lost the first T20 international by 28 runs to India at Wanderers Stadium in Johannesburg, Gauteng, on Sunday. After getting a 5-1 thumping in the one day internationals, many hoped the home team would bounce back in the T20s.

India however have been on an unstoppable run, posting a competitive 203 in their 20 overs, with Shikhar Dhawan leading the way with 72 runs from just 39 balls.

Reeza Hendricks was the only Proteas’ batsman that came to the party with a 70 from 50 balls. But like previously, the Indian bowlers did a great job in backing up their batsmen by taking wickets in regular intervals.

With two T20 matches left in the series and the Australians looming, the Proteas will be looking to bounce back soon.
