SA’s coronavirus cases continue to soar

Confirmed coronavirus infections in the country have now passed the 200 000 mark. The Health Department says after recording close to 9 000 new infections, the total number of cases now stands at 205 721.

The number of deaths has also gone up. One-hundred-and-eleven more people died of Covid-19 related symptoms. The death toll now stands at 3 310.
