Eastern Cape police have declined to comment on the rape charges brought against South African Football Association (Safa) president Danny Jordaan, saying his docket has not yet arrived in the province.
This after newspaper reports quoted the Gauteng police spokesperson Lungelo Dlamini as saying that the case will be transferred to Port Elizabeth were the incident allegedly took place.
Former ANC MP Jennifer Ferguson and a singer Jennifer Ferguson accused Jordaan of allegedly raping her at a Port Elizabeth hotel, 24 years ago.
Jordaan could also not be reached for comment.
Meanwhile, Dlamini says a rape case against Jordaan was opened in Parkview, Johannesburg, last week.
Dlamini says the case has been transferred to Port Elizabeth, where the alleged incident took place.
