The South African National Parks (SANParks) has advised all the people who will be visiting its parks this festive season to drive safely.

This as traffic volumes begin to pick on different routes.

SANParks says to ensure a safe and pleasant stay visitors to the park should book in advance.

The park’s spokesperson Ike Phaahla says all gates will have limited numbers for day visitors’ intake to help them deal in line with COVID-19 regulations.

Phaahla says, “We are ready to welcome all our visitors and we urge them to please be cooperative with our colleagues at the gate. Guests can book in the three time slots. One at 5:30, 7:30 and 9:30 onwards. This is a management tool to ensure a pleasant experience for our guests.”

Last week, Acting CEO Dumisani Dlamini says SANParks will be assisting people who would like to travel this festive season with the most financially savvy ways to experience the national parks.
