SAFA, Molefi Ntseki part ways

Reading Time: < 1 minute

The South African Football Association (SAFA) and former Bafana Bafana coach, Molefi Ntseki, have agreed to amicably part ways.

Ntseki was sacked, on 31 March 2021,  following Bafana Bafana’s failure to qualify for the 2022 Africa Cup of Nations tournament in Cameroon.

The contract has been terminated with just under two years left for it to expire.

Ntseki was appointed as Bafana Bafana coach in August 2019 after serving as assistant to former coach, Stuart Baxter, for two years.

The 51-year old leaves the association after guiding the senior national team in nine international matches.

There’s speculation that Ntseki could be brought back as one of the assistants to newly appointed coach Hugo Broos.
