Southern African Development Community (SADC) Executive Secretary Elias Magosi says they will continue to engage regional and international partners to support the work of SADC mission in Mozambique.

The European Union has committed to fund the mission. This emerged at the SADC troika ministerial meeting in Pretoria.

International Relations Minister Naledi Pandor told her counterparts that it is absolutely key to restore peace in Cabo Delgado, Mozambique.

Pandor says terrorism threatens the gains the SADC region is making towards integration and socio-economic development.

She says the SADC mission in Mozambique has made progress in repelling terror attacks.

The SADC ministerial meeting also reviewed the work of the SADC mission as it seeks to stabilize Cabo Delgado and ensure that economic activities resume.
