SACP in N West urges youth to defend state resources

Reading Time: 2 minutes

South African Communist Party North West Chair, Smuts Matshe has urged young people to defend state resources that could be used to benefit those in need.

Matshe was addressing young people, mostly South African Students Congress members and African National Congress Youth League members at Vuselela TVET College in Taung as part of  Youth Month celebrations.

He has also called upon the youth to focus on personal development. “You cannot reconcile and we are not going to reconcile with people who are looting state resources, we cannot have such a reconciliation because our reconciliation is clear, we will only reconcile with those that are prepared to serve our people. You can’t want to serve our people and yet you have looted the same resources that are supposed to have served the same people. We don’t have that space for you. Go elsewhere if you are a looter. “

Matshe has also pleaded with young people to stick together to defend the ANC in the province.

“ And also say to you young people don’t disperse the solution is coming, we are not far from getting this province right and we will need the support of all young people when we pursue this particular program.”
