The challenges the country’s educators are facing will come under the spotlight on Tuesday when the South African Council for Educators (SACE) launches a campaign on teachers’ rights, responsibilities and safety.
This comes after a spike in what the council says are attacks directed at teachers from both learners and parents.
The aim is to create awareness on the rights and responsibilities of teachers.
Recently, there have been incidents involving learners and teachers at schools.
