South African Broadcasting Corporation (SABC) employees have been evacuated from the Radio Park building in Auckland Park, Johannesburg due to a fire.
Two people are receiving treatment for smoke inhalation after a fire erupted at the SABC’s Radio Park building.
Last month, the SABC’s internal diesel-powered generating systems activated amid a power failure.
However, the system failed to kick in, resulting to a diesel spill.
The SABC is expected to release a statement soon.
