SABC News: 2014 in Facebook

Facebook users could not get enough news on elections and Senzo Meyiwa on the SABC News Facebook page in 2014.
According to Facebook Insights, this year’s national elections and the murder of the Bafana Bafana captain dominated with user engagement figures. However, it was a post on Khulubuse Zuma arriving for President Jacob Zuma’s inauguration ceremony that took the top spot on the Facebook page.
Other top engaged user posts included posts on Generations, Pastor TB Joshua as well as a status on Zuma’s birthday.
The SABC News Facebook page features consistently within the top South African news pages on the social network platform. The page currently has well over 190,000 likes.

The top 10 engaged user posts for the SABC News Facebook page in 2014 are as follows:
