The Collins Chabane Municipality in Limpopo has applauded the SABC’s Munghana Lonene FM and Phalaphala FM radio stations for their efforts to forge unity among the Vhavenda and Vatsonga people.
Municipal Mayor Joyce Bila thanked the stations for their social cohesion programmes during a joint birthday celebration at the Tshikonelo sports ground outside Thohoyandou.
The stations have been embarking on several joint programmes since February to mark their 53rd birthday celebrations including a simulcast broadcast.
Bila says her municipal area has benefited the most from the initiatives.
