The SABC has announced the appointment of a permanent Chief Executive Officer and Chief Financial Officer, after a long period of acting officials in the broadcaster’s top management positions.
The new CEO is Madoda Mxakwe, a former spokesperson for the Department of Public Service and Administration and currently an executive at Nestlé.
The incoming CFO is Yolande van Biljon, who has held senior posts at Denel and the Road Accident Fund.
They will join Chief Operating Officer Chris Maroleng to make up the SABC’s top management trio from next month.
SABC Board Chairperson Bongumusa Makhathini says, “This is very big for the SABC because stabilising the SABC at that level is very critical.
