South African Airways (SAA) says it will reintroduce domestic flights from Johannesburg to Cape Town and a return flight from Durban to Johannesburg, from Thursday.
Chief Commercial Officer (CCO) at SAA Phillip Saunders says the airline met with National Union of Metalworkers of South Africa (Numsa) and South African Cabin Crew Association (SACCA) on Tuesday night as the wage strike continues.
Union leaders also held talks with Public Enterprises Minister Pravin Gordhan.
About 3 000 union affiliated workers downed tools last week Friday demanding an 8% salary increase.
Management says it can only afford no more than 5.9%.
