Four designers from South Africa will be showcasing their exquisite designs at the Mercedes Benz Fashion Week in Moscow on Monday evening.
The designers, who were handpicked to represent South Africa at the prestigious event, are putting in the final touches on their garments before showcasing it on the runway.
Designers say their designs are entrenched in their tradition, with hats and colourful attire, depicting a wide range of Africa.
Fixing the African footprint on the international stage, Laduma Ngxokolo has dressed celebrities like Alicia Keys, Swiss beats, Jidenna and John Kani.
Designers will also showcase contemporary clothes inspired by their everyday lives.
While each designer will only spend four minutes on the catwalk, they believe their hard work has paid off a chance to show South African couture, is more than what they had hoped for.
The event attracts over 400 designers and brands, more foreign designers, buyers and mass media, are attending to be a part of the largest fashion event in Eastern Europe.
