SA records 9 501 new COVID-19 cases on Tuesday

As of Tuesday, the South African Health Ministry reported a cumulative total of 940 212 cases of COVID-19. This after 9 501 new cases were recorded.

A cumulative total of 6 215 728 tests have been conducted with 39 045 tests conducted since the last report.

The department said the recoveries now stand at 808 241.

Regrettably, the Department also reported 339 more COVID-19 related deaths.

Western Cape has reported 142 deaths, followed by Eastern Cape 107 deaths, Free State 8, Gauteng 30, Kwa-Zulu Natal 45, Limpopo 7. This brings to 25 246 the total deaths in the country.

Government conveyed their condolences to the loved ones of the departed and thank the health care workers who treated the deceased patients.
