As of Sunday, the cumulative number of COVID-19 cases identified in South Africa is at 1 412 986 with 8 147 new cases identified since the last report.
The South African Health Department has reported cumulative total of tests conducted to date at 7 993 126 with 46 119 tests conducted since the last report.
The recoveries now stand at 1 230 520, representing a recovery rate of 87%.

The government says regrettably, they report 300 more COVID-19 related deaths: Eastern Cape 43, Free State 15, Gauteng 45, KwaZulu-Natal 70, Mpumalanga six, North West 14, Northern Cape two and 105 in the Western Cape.
This brings the total to 40 874 deaths.
