South Africa has recorded 5 604 new COVID-19 cases, which brings the total number of laboratory-confirmed infections to 3 413 540. The increase represents a 27.2% positivity rate.
A further 41 COVID-19 related deaths have been reported, bringing total fatalities to 90 814 to date.
