SA records 3 313 new coronavirus cases, 43 more deaths

The number of coronavirus cases in South Africa has increased by 3 313, bringing the cumulative number to 817 878. In a statement, the Department of Health has also confirmed 43 more COVID-19 related deaths which brings the total to 22 249 deaths.

The Eastern Cape has the highest number of deaths 4 978, with 122 078 recoveries and 10 964 active cases. The Western Cape currently has the highest number of active cases with 16 348.

So far, 5 611 915 tests have been completed in South Africa.
