South Africa has recorded 22 443 new coronavirus (COVID-19) cases in the past 24 hours, bringing the total number of cases to 2 157 687.
Gauteng continues to report a large chunk of the cases, having recorded 11680 infections overnight.
The country has also recorded 374 new COVID-19 related fatalities, pushing the death toll to 63 873.
An increase of 869 hospital admissions has also been reported, with recoveries now standing at 1 884 170.
