The country has also recorded 30 new COVID-19 related fatalities on Saturday. This brings the total number of deaths to 53 256.
Gauteng has reported most deaths.
“Eastern Cape 1, Free State 5, Gauteng 11, KwaZulu-Natal 5, Limpopo 0, Mpumalanga 8, North West 0, Northern Cape 0 and Western Cape 0,” says the Health Minister Dr Zweli Mkhize in a statement.
The Minister has conveyed his condolences to the grieving families.

South Africa has done 10 115 923 COVID-19 tests to date and 29 464 of the tests were completed overnight.
The country’s cumulative recoveries stand at 1 482 682, representing a recovery rate of 95%.
