South Africa (SA) has reached a vaccine milestone of over 20-million vaccinations having been administered in the country.

They include the single-dose Pfizer and double-dose Johnson and Johnson vaccines.

A total of 733 new coronavirus infections have been recorded since Friday. 56 more people have succumbed to COVID-19 related complications.

This puts the national death toll at 88 562.

Meanwhile, from Wednesday next week, those aged between 12 and 17 will be able to receive a shot of the Pfizer vaccine.

On Friday, Health Minister Dr Joe Phaahla said he was happy with the pace of vaccinations in Gauteng.

Children 12yrs to 17yrs will be vaccinated through the Electronic Vaccination Data System #EVDS . They can go to any private and public vaccination site nearest to them #COVID19 #VaccineRollOutSA
