SA President Ramaphosa expected discuss trade relations during state visit to Ghana

President of South Africa Cyril Ramaphosa received by President of Ghana Nana Akufo-Addo. Ramaphosa is on a state visit to the country. 4 December 2021.

President Cyril Ramaphosa will begin a two-day state visit in Ghana on Saturday.

He is currently on a working visit to several West African countries.

Ramaphosa is expected to discuss economic recovery efforts in Africa post the COVID-19 pandemic as well as issues around trade relations.

The South African High Commissioner to Ghana,  Grace Jeanet Mason says they are expecting binational agreements to be signed.

“The message is to continue strengthening the relations between our two countries. The two Presidents will meet biannually. During this state visit, there will be agreements which will be signed – which are the binational agreements and bilateral mechanisms that will be signed to strengthen the cooperation between our two countries,” says Mason.
