SA may see more dark days in 2015

SA can expect to see more dark days in 2015. Eskom has warned that electricity supply problems will continue.

Though Eskom CEO Tshediso Matona mantains the country does not have a power supply crisis, regular power cuts and load shedding around the country have become the norm in South Africa.

Eskom says it is working hard to meet the December deadline to switch on unit six of the multi-billion rand Medupi power station in Limpopo to supply power to the national grid.

The power station is expected to bring relief to the country’s growing power problem.

Though Eskom says the delayed Medupi power plant is expected to start working on 24 December 2014, it continues to urge SA to use less electricity going into 2015.
