Mandela Month is still being celebrated all over the country. In Limpopo, the Legislature spent 67 minutes at the Chueuekgolo Secondary School at Lenting outside Lebowakgome.
The school is small and old, under equipped and understaffed. It doesn’t have computers, a library or a laboratory.
The school is seen as a leading school in the area and the Limpopo Legislature decided to make a difference with fresh coats of paint for some of the classrooms.
Deputy speaker Lehlogonolo Masoga says: “We found out that it was a feeder school for all the surrounding schools and decided that it was the right place for extra equipment.”
It was a memorable day for the pupils as they were treated to a piece of Mandela cake.
Mandela’s love for children emulated throughout the country in July.
