Switzerland’s Daniela Ryf was crowned the winner of the women’s Half Ironman World Championships, held in Port Elizabeth.

It’s the first time the World Half Ironman championships were hosted on the African Continent.

This is the first time anyone has ever won this half Ironman world championship four times with a winning time of 4 hours 1 minute and 12 seconds.

Germany’s Anne Haug finished in third place, with South Africa’s Jeannie Seymour finishing in seventh place.

The men will take on this race course on Sunday.
