Late former SAFM presenter Rowena Baird will be laid to rest next weekend in Johannesburg. The private funeral service will be held at the St. George’s Anglican Church in Parktown.
Baird passed away peacefully at her home on Friday surrounded by her loved ones. She lost her battle with cancer.
In 2014 Baird was diagnosed with colon cancer.
She is survived by her son Vuyo and grand daughter Khanya.
The broadcasting industry is mourning the loss of Baird who started her career in the 1980s and spent time at a variety of radio stations over the years.
