Johannesburg Metro Police have warned motorists to avoid roads in and around Emmarentia on Sunday, as they have been blocked off for a walking event.
JMPD spokesperson Wayne Minnaar says Beyers Naude Drive is among the major roads that are affected.
“Many of the side roads in Emmarentia and Parktown will be blocked off for the walk the talk. There are thousands of participants so we want to call on motorists to be extra cautious and to look out for the walkers as Judith road, Barry Hertzog Avanue and Greenhill roads will be affected,” says Minnaar.
